1 vote Comcast July 11, 2010 I hate Comcast. So, get this. Remember about a year ago when comcast started playing all of those commercials saying that if you were a comcast customer you didn't have to worry about the analog to digital migration? They would take care of everything, they said. Your analog TVs would work fine, they said. No need to buy a converter box that everyone was talking about.

This was a great relief to me because I have 6 analog TVs and an awesome LG/Microsoft DVR with an analog TV tuner.

Well, a few days ago I started seeing this message on the top of all my analog tv's saying I that my TVs were incompatible with the new digital signal and that I would have to get a TV tuner in order to keep using them. I called comcast to see what was up. Sure enough, I needed a set top box for each TV. Not only that, but I had to pay for them. 2$ per month for each box. And the kicker, MY DVR NO LONGER WORKS!!!! Since the thing can't change the stupid digital channels, it can't very well automatically record shows, can it?

As if this wasn't enough, my brand new computer equipped with a DIGITAL tv tuner no longer works either. The digital TV tuner in my brand new TV is also defective. WHAT THE HELL?? So apparently, it is not enough to have a digital TV tuner, you have to have a COMCAST digital tv tuner and pay them $2 per month per each. This just boils my blood.

Does this make anyone else mad? Has this happened to anyone else?
