1 vote DIRECTV September 15, 2009 Switched from Dish Network (big mistake) to DirecTV. Rep on phone said he'd take care of the rebate paperwork and he set me up with password, etc, and we'd also get a $75 Amazon gift card for joining.

Got first bill - no rebate. Called "our reps aren't allowed to set those up. There is no Amazon gift card rebate." Okay, let me talk to your manager. "None avaiable; someone will call you in 72 hours". A month+ later, no call.

Hubby filled out paperwork on two monthly bills to get direct credit card processing. Still hasn't happened and they have no record of it so he'll have to do it again.

Rebate was to take 4 - 6 weeks (we switched in May/June timeframe). Still no rebate and now no record that it's been submitted.

2 year contract but we're looking at how we can get out of it based on them not holding up their end of the bargain for the rebate.

I'd go with anyone else even if more expensive.
