HP has given me the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The computer they sold me had an issue with the monitor that I found to be systematic of all of this particular model. Yet no recall. I sent the computer in to have this problem fixed, and they returned it to me, unfixed. However, they did wipe my hard drive for no reason. Then I sent the computer back to them and this time they fixed the problem. Good thing too, because I was at the end of my warranty. But they didn't reinstall Microsoft Word correctly, instead it prompted me for an activation code. I contacted them to rectify this, since they were the ones who reinstalled it and wiped my hard drive of it to begin with. They attempted to charge me 50 bucks since I was out of warranty. I countered with the following points: 1, I would be in warranty if they had fixed my computer the first time I sent it in. 2, I'd still have Office on my computer had they sold me a working model. 3, I'd also still have Office had they NOT wiped my hard drive OR reinstalled it like they were supposed to. Basically, they locked me out of Office then tried to charge me for the key. When I asked to speak to a manager about this, the customer service rep denied my request, saying I needed a "valid reason." I eventually got angry enough for her to pass me off, only for these very valid complaints to fall on deaf ears. I will never buy an HP product again and I urge you not to either. Anyways, the Microsoft Office torrent just finished downloading, which is what I should have done in the first place. Later!
