1 vote Snapfish August 19, 2009 This summer I decided to put together a photo album of all the pictures I had taken since 2007. I had a lot of pictures and wanted a huge book that would support a lot of pages. After looking around at several of the online options, I found out that snapfish had the biggest books at the best prices.

I spent a significant amount of time putting together a 100+ page book with titles and descriptions for most of the pages. When I submitted the book I was offered a second book for half price. I didn't think I wanted a second book and finalized the order. After a few minutes I got thinking about it and decided it would be nice to have a second book to give away.

I called the company to see if I could order a second book for the special offer price. I thought this was a simple enough request but I guess not. After explaining the situation to the person on the phone I got a surprising answer. She told me that the order had already been finalized and could not be modified.

I said, "Ok, then why don't you cancel the order and I can place the order again except this time buy two books?" She informed me that this option was also not possible. Keep in mind, I had only placed the order a few minutes prior to all of this.

I asked her, "Well, then what can I do to get the second book?" Now, get this. She came up with the most illogical and obscure idea I have ever heard. She told me to order two more books, then wait for the first book to arrive, send it back, and I could be refunded for the first book and keep the second and third.

"Uhh, that's a little inefficient! And plus, what are you guys going to do with a book full of all my personal pictures?", I asked. I kept trying to convince her to just add another book to the order or something. Finally, I don't know what happened but she agreed. She modified the order to add a second book to it. I was very pleased and thanked her.

But wait a minute! She told me that wasn't possible in the first place. How was it that all of a sudden she was able to add a second book to the order? Was she just being lazy? I hate it when employees do stuff like that!

Anyway, a week or so later both books arrived and looked great. Even though this was an annoying conversation I had with Snapfish, I would still shop with them again.
